Bulletin Highlights (22 August '10)
We are urged by the writer of the Letter to the Hebrews: "Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are ill-treated as if you yourselves were suffering." (Hebrews 13:3)
Yet there are other ways of being in prison, too...spiritually, in the darkness of unbelief . . . .or socially, in being housebound through illness or age . . . or emotionally, in the grip of mental illness.
In any case, we too face a judgment, and although inescapably guilty are able to cast ourselves on the mercy of God through the grace of Jesus Christ.
"And He was numbered with the transgressors...." Is. 53:12b

PRESS-ON Ironing Service every Monday
As many are aware, Press-On is an initiative started to give work to unemployed people. The ladies ‘employed' by Press-On rely on the money they make on a Monday-and that money is dependant on the amount of laundry brought in to be ironed. At the moment they have very little work and are therefore not earning much money. If you know of any potential customers-please tell them about Press-On -
» Drop off washed and dried laundry on Monday mornings between 07h30 and 10h00
» R 10 per kilo
» Collect (usually) the same day, either at lunch time or at 16h30.
