The Prodigal Son
We were blessed recently by our first family service for many years on Sunday 21 June. It was amazing to see the amount of people in the hall. Thanks to all the teachers and their hard work for getting the children to put their bit into it.
Thank you to Hayden, Natalie, Jaylin and Kagiso for giving our Crossings a new version of the Prodigal Son.
The Prodigal Son
The Prodigal left to dance and hop
But landed up eating pig slop
the life was not so good
So he came home as he should
Because his life was a flop
His dad saw him coming
And towards him started running
A robe and new shoes,
A rind were his dues
With this came plenty of hugging
Now the prodigal had a brother
And he was as cross as no other
When he heard that Dad
Was no longer sad
But ecstatic to see his brother
In fact Dad threw a party
very merry, fun and hearty
cause his son had come back
from living in a shack
and the brother thought it Grotty
This brother became very sad
And approached his beloved Dad
He said he'd been there all along
But dad not so much as sang a song
So this deal was very bad
Dad said what I tell you is true
What I have is all for you
I love you a stack
I'm glad your brother's back
And God's love is for all of you!
