Associate: Janette Ross
She then spent 26 years in Israel as a Pastoral Worker with The Churches Ministry among the Jews. She lived through tremendous times of joy and sorrow whilst there.
She came to South Africa in time to share in the events of 1990 – 1994. Her particular likes are: music, the bush, and taking people to Israel.
Associate: Jerry Bailey
He is married to Beryl (a Physiotherapist). They have three daughters and 6 grand-daughters. (There is a fuller profile in St Luke’s History)

I am married and have two grown up daughters, with whom I am very close. I have always prioritised family over my career as veterinary surgeon, working from home and in animal welfare.
I am passionate about sport, classical music and the amazing scenery our beautiful country has to offer.
I joined St Luke’s in 1988 with my parents, and as a family we were always involved in the life of the parish. The people of St Luke’s are very close to my heart and through the church I have made deep, lasting friendships which are extremely important to me and my family..

At St Luke’s Church things would not happen if it was not for the amazing team of staff that we have that works often behind the scenes in the office.
Senior Administrator: Shirley Lacy
She has been a member of St. Luke’s since 1964, so although her ‘silver halo’ has only recently appeared, is one of the ‘oldies’ here. As a result she knows almost everyone in the Parish.
Administrative Assistant: Maria Mashishi
She is a trained Anglicare Counsellor. Maria has 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren, and recently married Lesiba.
Administrative Assistant: Wendy Miller
Caretaker: Katt Seoe
His expertise and dedication led him to his current position as Caretaker and Maintenance Manager at St. Luke, where he works closely with Richard Hatfield and regularly engages with the Portfolio Committee.
Despite his career shift, Katt remains deeply passionate about rugby and maintains an active lifestyle in his spare time.
Grateful for the opportunity to be part of the St. Luke family, Katt is excited about the future and looks forward to a long, fulfilling journey with the team.
Assistant Groundsman: Sam Mdlalose
With a deep passion and extensive knowledge in gardening and landscaping, he has been a general worker here for almost six years, recently acknowledged as Senior Gardener/Landscaper, has contributed significantly to the church’s upkeep and beauty.
Despite being in his 50s, Sam remains highly active and has a love for running, regularly participating in marathons. His ultimate goal is to complete both the 2 Oceans and Comrades marathons. He has qualified and will run Comrades in 2025, a testament to his dedication and perseverance.
Housekeeper: Doriccah Mabe
Doriccah is blessed with 2 phenomenal and multitalented kids.

When we first joined St Luke’s it was like ‘coming home’ and even though we lived in Randburg it is still our ‘home’.
Tess and I have been married for 50+ years and have 4 adult children and are blessed by having 8 wonderful grandchildren.
